can anybody tell me how to have a long lasting relationship without quarrels? i doubt anyone can. or in the first place, is it possible to have a relationship that can go on smoothly with both parties loving each other? i doubt so. there will be a point in the relationship that you will find is getting stagnant, it's just not going anywhere. it's a point whereby the love starts to fade and there isn't any sparks left in the relationship. nobody knows why a relationship will come to such a stage except for the two involved. how to salvage it? i don't know either. i think whenever a problem occurs, both parties need to sort it out and talk about it together asap. and not delay the problem until it accumulates to a bigger one. if both parties constantly communicate, i guess there should not be much of an issue. at the same time, one can't think too far when in a relationship. it will just catch the other half by surprise. they should just take one step at a time, spending time together and see how they can enrich the relationship. they also shouldn't set plans or goals for the other half. it will just turn him or her off. thinking that they should follow whatever you say. in other words, you'll be like controlling their lives and not giving them freedom. one need to give each other some breathing space to do the things they want and not suffocate them. as it goes, if the fishing line is too taut, it will snap. this applies to relationship also. if you control him or her too much, one day the line will just snap and everything will be over. one gotta know when to loosen the tension and when to tighten it. maybe it might just work out fine.
